Katalin Weith producer, director, screenwriter

In 2019 he obtained a Master’s degree in Filmmaking from the ELTE Faculty of Film Studies. In 2012 he completed the filmmaking course of the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where during the course she contributed to the realization of 12 short films at Universal Studio. She works as an independent producer on various film projects.

In 2012, he directed her first short film entitled Shame, for which he was also the screenwriter.
In 2014, Márk Grátz, the producer and cinematographer of the historical feature film Dear Elsa, won the Aranyszem Award for his work.
In 2014, their short film Retorzió won first place in the Student category at the Florida Film Festival, for which she worked as a producer.
In 2015, she shot in Oregon and was the executive producer of the American feature film Courage of Two. The script of the film is based on a true story.
In 2017, she contributed as a producer to Melanie Grams’ short film Wonder, which won the audience’s best film award a year later.
In 2017, she directed her exam film, the short film Megérdemlem, starring Judit Pogány and Gabriella Hámori.
She has been managing the works of writer Duncan Shelley since 2010, and has published 33 books, of which she is preparing the film adaptation of the popular Paktum trilogy from 2017. In recent years, she presented the plan for the international film series The Taste of Fear at the Film Market in Cannes, Berlin, the American Film Market in Los Angeles, and the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax in Canada. In connection with the film, preliminary negotiations were held with several potential cooperation partners, the Canadian Bruised Production Ltd expressed its intention to cooperate in a Letter of Intent. An 8-part TV series is currently being prepared with screenwriters Gábor Móray and Emília Goldberg.
The script for the fictional documentary The Traitor, which is an adaptation of Julius Andan’s novel The world behind the scenes, has been completed.
